Scholarships
In partnership with Lambda Omicron Omega Chapter, The Ivy Foundation offers scholarships to advance education for African American Females of Manatee and Sarasota Counties, who attend public high school, meet the specified guidelines and plans to attend a four-year college or university.
Our focus is to provide these young ladies access to financial support based either on academic merit and/or leadership skills.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Must be an African American female classified as a high school senior. The student must be graduating from a public high school of Manatee and Sarasota Counties and preparing to attend an accredited four-year degree granting institution.
- Student must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and leadership skills.
- Have a minimum GPA) Grade Point Average) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- All applicants must be involved in the interview process to be considered for a scholarship.
- Scholarship funds will be paid during the month of August —directly to the college, not the student. The scholarship funds will be issued to the college or university upon receiving proof of enrollment as a full-time student for the fall semester, which includes the Student ID number and Financial Aid Office address.
- Applicants must have the endorsement of their School Counselor on their application attesting they are qualified for this scholarship program and have met graduation requirements (to be submitted with application).
